If you are the spanner who e-mailed me to ask what to bring but forgot to leave your e-mail address (yes, that would be you Tony), please bring yourself, some kit you don't mind getting sweaty in, and appropriate footwear. By appropriate, I mean no metal studs or long molded cleats. Turf shoes or supportive sneakers will probably be best. Oh yeah, bring some water and $5 to throw in the kitty, and don't forget your mittens. You know, the one's with the string that goes through your sleeves to stop you from loosing them. Bloody babies.
Practice tonight, 9pm, at the Gorham Sports Center.
No, I won't tell you where the directions are again. If you can't find them at this point, we'll I just don't hold out much hope for you.

PRFC Women's Side
PRFC has made the long overdue decision to recruit a womenís side. It is our impression that there are more than enough interested women in the greater Portland area (i.e. Maine) to field a competitive womenís side.
We are calling all women rugby players and athletes of any stripe and fitness level interested in learning the game to join our club. Come and help us to grow the sport in America and play the game they play in heaven.
Rugby is the ultimate sport, requiring the development of all athletic qualities: speed, power, endurance, agility, toughness and mental acuity. All shapes and sizes will find a role.
Please join us, regardless of your current ability level. It is never too late to learn the game. (Just look at our men's side!) We are also in search of women and men who can help to coach and manage the womenís side.
Members of the womenís side will be members of PRFC in full. All are welcome to our pre-season training sessions to join in fitness and skills development for the coming Fall, stay tuned for practice times and locations.
If you have any questions about the women's side or are interested in getting involved, please e-mail Jes Morin or call her on 207-751-9039.

TRAINING BEGINS!
Finally the waiting is over! No more talk...it's time to show us what you've been working on all Winter. Oh, wait...on second thoughts, you can keep that to yourself.
Anyway, get out to training this Wednesday (Feb 2nd) @ 9pm, at the Gorham Sports Center. Directons can be found in the "Links" section down there in the bottom left. Time is money, so plan to arrive at 8:30pm so you can get kitted up and be completely stretched out by the time 9 o'clock rolls around. It's not as though you've got anything else to do at that time of night anyway.
February begins tomorrow, which of course means Valentine's Day is right around the corner. The cruellest of holidays, V-Day can only accentuate your lonliness, but you needn't suffer any longer. Just get yourself a Virtual Girlfriend. For a mere $45 for two months, these girls will pretend to be your girlfriend, by sending you text messages, e-mails, photos and even gifts. Of course, they never actually want to meet you, or share in your personal misery. God bless the internet!
But hey, ladies, don't feel left out! I've decided to offer my services as a Virtual Boyfriend to help you through this difficult time. For a much more modest sum of $10 per month, I'm willing to be emotionally unavailable, call you when I'm drunk, buy you trashy underwear and hit on your friends. C'mon girls, be good to yourselves and drop me a line.
