The 2002 Spring season is here and we're all looking forward to some competition. The year began with an outstanding commitment from all members, young and older. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Lobster Dip and Wheelchair Rugby. They were both a big success. We're all looking forward to a big year on and off the pitch!
Mike Quinlan will be joining us from Ireland to help Diesel with the coaching duties. Practice has already begun on Higgins Beach as most of you players already know. We will be moving to Fox Street in the next week or so for Tuesday and Thursday eves, watch your email for the first one.
April 20th will be our first home match so come on down and join the fun. Our first annual Maine Collegiate Rugby Championship Tournament will be held on April 27th at the Cumberland Fairgrounds. This will be a special event and a tradition for years to come. We will be naming an all-star team with the best player from each position being named at the end; so play hard and earn your jersey. Advertising sheets are at the City Deli so see Diesel for yours and get them in early. Let's all make this an event to remember.
This our spring schedule and as you can see it ends with the New England Rugby Championships in Rhode Island. With hard work and commitment I'm sure you will agree that we can win our division and improve our chances for the fall season!!!
