We'll lads, no sooner had Springfield thrown down the gauntlet to pick up where we left off last season, than they though better of it and yanked the fixture, citing some nonsense about the city not letting them use the pitch. But really, come on boys, it wouldn't be a very good start to their sesaon to get knocked off by a D3 side, would it? I guess we'll have to save that for NERFU.
So, with Springfield chosing discretion over valor, that means we have just three weeks before we start the season with Amoskeag, who will no doubt prove to me more worthy opponents. We have 3 fixtures that day, so if you can bring your mum too, that's going to help.

Training & New Fixture
For those of you that operate on the periphery of the club, you might not be aware that training for the Spring season has been underway for months, and that turnout has been high, with competition expected for many spots. So if you're thinking that you can perform your usual walk-on 20 minute heroics followed by total meltdown, then save it for the B-side. Failing that, there's three training sessions left for you to make your presence felt before our first fixture. Two more Wednesday nights and a Saturday at the beach stand between you and our first fixture. Training at Gorham Sports Center will be at the usual time, and we'll be adding in a session this Saturday at Higgins beach at 1pm. Directions to the beach have be posted on the home page.
Speaking of fixtures, we've added a late (or early, depending on your perspective) match for March 26th, against our old friends, Springfield. For those of you that played in the Fall, I'm sure you're hoping to settle the score. For those of you who didn't, this will be a good chance to sample what we'll be in for at NERFU this Spring.
