Practice 3/9

For those of you who haven't been regulars at practice, we are still getting together at the Gorham Sports Center every Wednesday, starting at 9pm and running in to the wee small hours. There is news afoot of a surprise early fixture with Seacoast at the end of the month, so if you were thinking of leaving it until that time to get fit for the Amoskeag fixture, think again. Get yourself to practice, take a shower when you get home, and then it's time to go straight to work again!

So what's with all these people that e-mail the club and say they're interested in playing and want more info? Well for starters, there isn't much more to know that isn't already posted here, but no matter, I'm willing to play along and send along a chipper little note about what a great bunch we are, and how we welcome everyone. And do you think I'm afforded the decency of a reply? Maybe a, "oh, I'm sorry, I wanted to play, but then my wife found out" or a, "I just like to e-mail strangers for company". But no, just stony silence. Was I not perky and up-beat enough? Did I not spell out the previously published practice times clearly enough? Apart from that guy who claims to be a close friend of J-Wil, very few people ever bother to hit reply and blow me off.

So to all of you that bother to reply, I say "thank you". Yes, even you Tito. To the rest of you, I would just like to point out that practice times are clearly published, along with fixtures, dues etc. etc. That's about all there is to it. No extra info. It's a pretty simple game....you throw the ball, you catch the ball, and sometimes it rains. See you at practice.

Not much of a link today, but it's always a good thing when karma kicks in.
