Summer Training

A regular training schedule has been established, with voluntary Sevens on Tuesdays at Payson Park, and regular training at Fox Street on Thursdays. Both start at 6pm so make sure you are there a little early if you need time to socialize, get changed, make some phone calls etc.

Acton 10's

Good bless the cable company for not offering me the opportunity to blow another $25 to watch the Lions. After a major team overhaul from the first Test the Lions succeded in getting thier arses kicked even harder, leaving Sir Clive's legacy in tatters. It never ceases to amaze me that a country with a population of just over 4 million (less than the state of Massachuesetts) can consistently produce the best sides in the world. It just goes to show you (and Sir Clive) that it's not always a numbers game.

Speaking of numbers, we're going to need some this coming weekend to compete in the Acton 10's, which promises a new set of jerseys to the victors, not to mention adulation, adoration and endless poon tang. OK, maybe not that last one, but the jerseys are for real. Get out to practice this week to ensure yourself a spot on the gravy train. Payson Park, 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday.

The Fall schedule is taking shape, and although it's not set in stone, it will probably look something like this:

If anyone is planning to get married, graduate, get arrested, "come out" this Fall, try to avoid these dates if at all possible.

Lions? Pussies more like.

Well, I'm $25 worse off for watching the Lions humiliation at the hands of the All Blacks. Sir Clive's policy of playing all his old English mates over anyone with any talent surprisingly didn't pay off, and the side played as though they had just met each other half an hour before kick-off. On our worst days we never lost twelve of our own throw-in's in one game, and it looked as though half of the forwards had forgotten the "hot" number. Nevertheless, I've got the game on DVR if anyone wants to come up and watch it, and no doubt I'll fork out at least another $25 to see if things can be turned around with the addition a few Welshmen.

A new fixture has been added against Old Gold for August 20th, no doubt as a pre-cursor to the Fall season, although we are still waiting for NERFU to let us know how the rest of season pans out. Stay tuned on that front.

In the mean time, here's Tom Cruise's true agenda, so he can't be all bad.

Diesel was kind enough to forward along some photos from the recent Beach Party, and after sitting on them for a while, I finally got around to posting them.

As you can see from this picture, it was quite a sober affair. While Jerry was playing hide and seek with this drunk women, little did either of them know that they were about to be jumped by some crazy retard who looks like he really needs to go to the bathroom.

Oh, it's on...

Well it looks as though there have been some last minute changes to the Bull Moose Tournament, with several sides pulling out at the last minute, and for a change none of them were South Shore. Despite all these changes though, some things never change, since PRFC will be kicking things off against Mystics, which we've done for the last god-knows-how-many years. Things get a little more interesting in the afternoon however, since it looks as though we've been drawn to play the elusive South Shore.

Of course, as with other South Shore fixtures, it remains to be seen if they will actually show up. After all, Attitash is a very long way away, and I've no doubt it's very expensive, and I'm sure there's a whole bunch of other reasons not to make it that I haven't even thought of.

Nevertheless, if you've been on the fence about making the trip yourself, this schedule might give you some added motivation.
