We will be playing this weekend (Aug 24th) on Fox St V's the Chicago Blaze at 12:00 noon so come on down and help us win another one! Our official season begins Sept 7th V's Burlington RFC.

Portland 50 Seacoast 14
This past saturday featured a commanding victory for Portland and a nice tune up for the New England Tournament. Though Seacoast has come along way since our last meeting they came up short on douglass st this past weekend. The game was played mostly in their half and we capatalized on some key penalties for scores. We will be traveling to Newport this weekend and are looking forward to some stiff competition. Check us out next week for the details.

Portland 46 - Old Gold 0
The big crowd at the Maine Collegiate Rugby Championships were treated to a fine show of champagne rugby by the hosts. The Irish five-eights combination was absolutely dominant on the day for captain Fred Hayman's backline. The pack had yet another blinder turned in by Tim McMahon and featured the return of Marco "Diesel" DeSalle and his bullocking runs.

Portland 10 Wolfhounds 37
We came out strong against one of the best teams in division 1. The action started fast and furious and we found ourselves up 10 nil at the 20 minute mark. The wolfhounds battled back and as we broke for the half they led 17 - 10. The second half was hard fought and all though we never gave up they put a few more on the board. It was nice to shake off some of that winter rust and compete with a playoff bound team right out of the blocks. We look forward to a rematch, and best of luck in the playoffs to a well coached side from Boston.
